Andrew Farinelli
Private Wealth Advisor
I graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a major in Finance and minor in Economics. I’ve had a consistent goal of building a career in professional services — but in a way that allows me to develop meaningful relationships with individuals and families. I am passionate about collaborating with others to create sustainable value. I have concentrated on corporate executives and small & medium enterprise (SME) owners. I hold FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses, plus a Life, Accident & Health license.
Living in Chicago, I enjoy experiencing new restaurants with friends, cheering Chicago sports teams, and seeing stand-up comedy performances. I enjoy traveling abroad and experiencing new cultures. One of my most memorable experiences was being in Thailand for Songkran (Thai New Year).
I am an active member and volunteer for the American Cancer Society’s Associate Board of Ambassadors (ABOA), which is an organization that raises money and creates awareness for the American Cancer Society.
Areas of expertise
Corporate Executives
I help corporate executives best use their complex benefits while incorporating those benefits in a comprehensive financial plan. My expertise includes deferred compensation plans, restricted stock units (RSUs), non-qualified stock options (NSOs), incentive stock options (ISOs), employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), and employee stock purchase plans (ESPPs).
Small & Medium Enterprise Owners
I work in partnership with my clients’ corporate attorneys, estate attorneys, and accountants to create ideal retirement benefits packages for themselves and their employees.
Advanced Life Insurance Strategies
I help my clients evaluate their insurance needs and opportunities, for personal reasons or for family protection. Situations include everything from the facilitation of a business succession plan and mitigating estate tax liability or to insure against potential long-term care needs.
Comprehensive Financial Planning
Developing incredibly comprehensive and detailed financial plans is at the core of all my client relationships. I first focus on understanding what’s most important to my clients, and then help them effectively achieve their goals. Plans can include flow optimization and debt management, college education planning, retirement planning, tax mitigation, investment planning and portfolio construction.
Questions I often hear:
How much should I be saving each year for retirement?
Many factors influence what is appropriate for different individuals. That is why we work hard to understand our clients, their unique situations, and their goals for the future.
I have a lot of cash in my bank account. What should I do with it?
There are many answers to this question based on your specific goals. There is no universally “correct” answer.
How is my financial situation compared to other people my age?
Let’s talk. I’d be happy to provide some perspective.
I view every client engagement as a chance to make a difference in someone’s life. I’m humbled whenever I have the opportunity to do so. “
